Kazumi Morton
Master colorist Kazumi Morton opened Salon Kazumi in the heart of iconic Beverly Hills, California in early 2016.
Nicknamed the “Brunette Master” by Allure Magazine, Kazumi expertly marries her decades of experiential know-how with her keen eye for hair coloring. The result is rich, natural highlights and shades that perfectly compliment and enhance the complexion of each of her dedicated clients. A pioneer of hair straightening and hair extensions, she specializes in the application and custom coloring of hair extensions using the new technology system created by Hair Lingerie.
Kazumi’s career began when she moved from her home in Japan to Los Angeles to train at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy. Inspired and full of passion, she graduated and quickly found the mentorship of world renowned colorist Stuart Gavert at the Gavert Atelier Salon, in Beverly Hills.
Her love of hair and dedication to her craft has afforded her clientele in Los Angeles, New York, and San Fransisco. A firm believer in giving back, Kazumi travels to Japan several times a year to share her wealth of knowledge as a colorist with hair students. She has also had the privilege of working with Japanese haircare line 003 in the formulation of their Hue Gloss vegan color line.
